Rivals will clash in London at Brentford's Community Stadium on Tuesday 17 October.

FIFA+ will stream Australia’s friendly with New Zealand on Tuesday night, as the pair meet for just the third time since 2011. The game will take place at Brentford Community Stadium in London on Tuesday, 17 October, with kick-off at 19:45 (local time).

It will be the first time the pair have met in an official ‘Soccer Ashes’ series since the mid-1950s, following the recovery of the urn – which is given to winning team – earlier this year. Based on the trophy battled for between Australia and England in cricket, the ‘Soccer Ashes’ urn is made up of the remains from the cigars of Australia captain Alec Gibb and New Zealand captain George Campbell from the early 1920s.

In the six series to date, Australia have claimed the urn on four occasions and drawn once, while New Zealand’s sole victory came all the way back in 1923. The urn went missing following the 1954 series, before it was recovered by the grandchildren of former Australian Soccer Football Association chairman Sydney Storey this year.

Australia come into the game without a win in four, including a 1-0 friendly defeat to England at Wembley on Friday night, and are currently sat 27th in the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking. New Zealand, who are 104th in the world, have lost just once in their last four matches, and come into the game off the back of a 1-1 draw with DR Congo.

Meanwhile, FIFA+ will also be showing the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying clash between Ecuador and Colombia at Liga Deportiva Universitaria stadium, which kicks off at 18:30 on Tuesday (local time).
