Twelve months after a shock last-16 exit at the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, USA were back on the top of the world at Paris 2024. The Americans edged past Brazil 1-0 in the final, with Mallory Swanson netting the winning goal. Germany overcame world champions Spain by the same scoreline in the battle for bronze.
