USA beat Cuba 2-0 to clinch their place at the Qatar showpiece. The Americans have been in ruthless form throughout the qualifying competition, winning all three of their matches, scoring 31 times and not conceding once. Chase Adams, who scored 10 goals in their 22-0 trouncing of the US Virgin Islands, was again on target against Cuba.

USA have qualified for the U-17 World Cup for the 19th time. Their best result at the finals was a fourth-place finish at New Zealand 1999.

Panama, Honduras and El Salvador also qualified with 100-per-cent records, but each needed to dig deep in their final group matches to book their spots in Qatar.

Panama punched their ticket with a 2-1 success against the Dominican Republic. Estevis Lopez was the hero, scoring an 87th-minute winner to send his country to the tournament.

Qatar 2025 will mark Panama’s fourth appearance at the U-17 World Cup. They reached the Round of 16 on their debut at Mexico 2011, which remains their deepest run at the competition.

Honduras will join them at the global finals, having edged out Puerto Rico 1-0. A closely contested encounter was settled by Yeison Arriola’s decisive goal midway through the second half.

Honduras have qualified for their sixth U-17 World Cup, with their best result coming at UAE 2013 when they reached the quarter-finals.

El Salvador, meanwhile, will compete at the U-17 World Cup for the first time after an impressive 2-1 triumph against Jamaica. Brandon Ramirez’s 80th-minute goal sealed a history-making victory.

Four more teams from the Concacaf region will book their tickets to Qatar when the confederation’s qualifiers conclude on Sunday 16 February.
